Founder / CEO

Leslie Neal

Leslie Neal is the Founder of True 2 You LLC and is known for her creative ideas and for showing others how to have their own. With over 20 years working in K-12 education, state government, and higher education, she has extensive experience in teaching and leadership.

Originally from Cincinnati, Ohio, Leslie has always been a lover of the arts and has family ties within the art community. A passion since youth has been her ability to create and innovate new things. After moving to Michigan and working in state government, Neal owned a fine art gallery before the economy crashed in 2008, which forced her to close the gallery and go back into higher education. During this time, Leslie continued to soothe her soul and passion, making candles and jewelry as a hobby.

After years of working higher education, the desire to create continued to burn into her soul, itching to come out in some form. Taking a partial leap, she created True 2 You Candle Studios in Canton, Michigan, in 2020 right before the pandemic. As it turns out, the pandemic allowed Neal to focus on a business plan to start operating part-time, custom-making candles to sell online and wholesale. As doors began to reopen, Leslie created the Fragrance Blend Bar to give others the experience of candle making.

Leslie’s purpose with True 2 You is to create an experience that others will cherish.

With wholesale options, fundraisers, and her own candle lines, memories can be made through giving to others as well.

Her Bachelor’s in Psychology, Masters in Education, and career in these fields have truly prepared her to jump freely into her passion.

CFO / CCO

With over 20 years in Law Enforcement, Neal has years of experience in compliance and attention to detail. When his wife Leslie created True 2 You LLC, he knew his knowledge in these areas would help with the small business. “Luck is a concept I don’t believe in. Preparation leads to success when opportunity comes your way, and it is not by chance. God has allowed us to serve others, establish relationships that will enhance our spiritual, social and financial growth.”

Content Analyst and Candle Barista

With a major in Journalism, writing has always come easy for Leslie’s daughter. Helping her mother with content and learning how to help others have a memorable experience seemed like fun to her. “Having the opportunity to share in our family business through things I enjoy makes working fun.”

Kelsey Neal

Youth Creative Image Consultant and Candle Barista

Leslie loves having young people around her, and having two young daughters, she feels compelled to have family around her. Kelsey is a creative with a keen sense of detail, perfect to review the overall image of the business. “Anything that shows creativity I gravitate towards. Being able to give input on merchandise, the look of our website, and content planning allows me to use my creativity to help build our family business.”
